Why I started CTP
I spent 20+ years on enterprise and government cyber security projects before founding Chapman Technology Partners. The pattern was always clear. Large organisations got properly managed IT, cyber security built in from the start, governance and compliance handled as a working discipline, and technology used to make the business better, not just keep it running. Smaller businesses got something thinner: security as an afterthought, compliance as a paper exercise, IT that closed tickets without changing how work got done.
That gap shouldn't exist. A 25-person business needs the same standard of IT, cyber security and GRC controls as a 5,000-person enterprise. The same UK frameworks apply: Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001, UK GDPR, sector-specific obligations. The same technology that improves operations at scale can do the same for a growing business. I started CTP to close that gap for UK SMBs, with managed IT done properly, security as the foundation, GRC built into the operating model, and technology used to grow the business rather than just protect it.
